Wanda Jean Lemons was born on March 10, 1977 and is the mother of five children. She sometimes went by her previous married name, Hodges, or her maiden name, Jackson.

In 2014, Wanda Lemons was living in Chillicothe, Ohio. She had family in both Chillicothe, Ohio and Galveston, Texas. She was known to frequently travel between the states.

Disappearance

On November 3, 2014, Wanda Lemons was last seen by a friend on 7th Street in Chillicothe, Ohio. A few days later, the same friend indicated that Lemons possibly went to Texas with an African-American male truck driver named Darius or Demarcus Thomas.

On November 5, 2014, Wanda was last heard from when she sent messages to her adult daughter via text messages and Facebook. Wanda hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

On December 28, 2014, her mother filed a missing person’s report with the Chillicothe Police Department. She indicated that it was not uncommon for her daughter to be absent for lengthy periods of time, but that she would always call or visit during the holidays.

Investigation

Between 2014 and 2015, six women were reported missing in Chillicothe, Ohio, with four of them later being found deceased. Wanda Lemons knew some of the other women as they ran in the same crowd.

On May 3, 2014, 30-year-old Tameka Lynch went missing on the same day as her friend, 27-year-old Charlotte Trego. On May 24, 2014, Lynch’s body was found in Paint Creek, Ohio, clothed only in a pair of socks. The death was ruled a drug overdose.

20-year-old Shasta Himelrick, who was in the early stages of pregnancy, went missing on December 26, 2014. Her body was found a week later in the Scioto River with authorities ruling her death a suicide by drowning, a ruling her family disputed.

26-year-old Tiffany Sayre went missing on May 11, 2015. Her body was found a month later along Cave Road, about 30 miles west of Chillicothe, wrapped in a sheet alongside a creek bed not far from where Tameka Lynch’s body was found.

Wanda Lemons’ disappearance may be connected to the missing cases of Megan Lancaster, Holly Logan and Jayme Bowen. Authorities indicated that drug abuse, prostitution, or human trafficking are possible factors in their disappearances.

Wanda was last seen wearing a t-shirt, jeans, and camouflage-print sneakers.
